The next collection we are going to explore is the Lee Sievan Collection of Anthony F. Dumas drawings. Little is known about Dumas, but what is clear was his love of theatre architecture. Dumas created a wide collection of precise renderings of theatre facades across the mid-Atlantic.
Some of the renderings, like this drawing of the Proctor’s New Theatre and Strand Theatre of Port Chester, NY feature whimsical ornamentation.
