Joined THS in 1987. Served on the THS Board previously, 2006-2012. BFA Degree in Illustration, 1987, California College of the Arts. Full-time work in the field of architectural decorative glass (design, fabrication, client interface), 1987-2011. Part-time contract work in same field, 2011-present. Professional work in the field of historic theatre preservation, including hands-on restoration, c. 2000-present: decorative glass, murals and decorative painting (restoration and original, compatible work), neon design, color consultation. Currently involved in various theatre restorations professionally in Northern California. Volunteer work in the field of theatre preservation and restoration, 1989-present: design consultation, preservation advocacy, research.

Retired live theatre professional after 65 years of working in theatre production/technical theatre. Owned & operated scene shop/production house. 20 years as Theatre Consultant.
Karen Colizzi Noonan

Karen has a lifelong interest in historic theaters starting in childhood at the local Schine Geneva Theater currently known as the Smith Opera House in Geneva NY. A THS member since 1982; Board Secretary 2000-2003, Board President 2003-2013; Conclave Chair 1999, Co-chair 2009,2013. Three-time THS Weiss Award Winner; Past Board Member of: Capitol Theater, Rome NY, Sampson Theater Penn Yan NY; past advisory committee Glove Theater, Gloversville NY; past member Government Relations Subcommittee Smith Opera House, Geneva NY. She is a recognized Schine Theater Chain historian.
Michael Hauser

Joined THS in 1982. Board positions held: Secretary, Vice President, and Conclave Chair. Was Advertising Manager for two of Michigan’s largest independent multiplex chains; Marketing Manager for the Detroit Opera House since 2001. Have co-authored six books for Arcadia Publishing including two on theaters. Am a frequent presenter on historic theatres at libraries and non-profits, guest curator on theatre related subjects at the Detroit Historical Museum, and am a special projects consultant for Phoenix Theatres and Metro Detroit’s Maple Theatre.

Multiple residential restoration / renovation / historic preservation projects. Lifelong interests in historic preservation and architecture.
Lowell Angell
Joined THS 1985. Attended 30 conclaves; Served on the board for 24 years — Regional Director 5 years; President 6 years (1997-2003); Secretary 12 years (2003-2014). Chair or member of most committees. Co-founded non-profit organization 1984 to save and restore 1922 Hawaii Theatre (Honolulu); president 1985-1987; board of Friends of 1925 Palace Theatre (Hilo, Hawaii) 2001-2005; co-founded Friends of Queen Theatre (Honolulu) 2007. Hawaiian theatre historian for 50 years; wrote “Theatres of Hawaii” in 2011 (Arcadia Publishing). BA in Journalism and MA in American Studies/Architectural History, University of Hawaii. Radio announcer for 10 years; owned/managed retail travel agency for 20 years; University of Hawaii for 20 years, administrator of the historic preservation graduate program, then did PR/writing/editing for president’s office. Retired in 2012. Writing a comprehensive history of the Hawaii Theatre and Consolidated Amusement Company.
William Daw
William Daw is the Curator of the Curtis Theatre Collection at the University of Pittsburgh Library System. He has managed this collection of rare books, theatre ephemera, and archival collections for the past 20 years. He has also studied historic preservation and has an MLIS specializing in preservation and archives from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Computing and Information.
Matt Lambros
Matt Lambros is an Architectural Photographer specializing in historic buildings. He joined THS in 2013 and the board in 2017. He has written and photographed three books on historic theatres. “After the Final Curtain: The Fall of the American Movie Palace” (2016, Jonglez Publishing), “Kings Theatre; The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of Brooklyn’s Wonder Theatre” (2017, THS), and “After the Final Curtain: America’s Abandoned Theatres” (2019, Jonglez Publishing.)
Susan Mazur
Susan Mazur has served on the board of Jump Cut Theater since 2016 and currently holds the position of board president. She also serves as treasurer of Women in Film & Media, having held the role for multiple terms since 2013. As a former volunteer financial and management consultant with the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University, she worked with nonprofits to develop sound financial and governance practices. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Susan specializes in nonprofit consulting and financial accounting.
Michael Ramsaur
Michael has had a 50-year career in theater serving as Lighting Designer for over 200 productions for many theater companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been awarded Outstanding Lighting Design awards from the San Francisco Bay Area Critics Association, Dean Goodman Award, and Drama League Award. He owned and operated (for a period) the small business San Francisco Theatrical Supply. Michael is a Professor Emeritus at the Stanford University where he served as production manager and Chair of the Drama Department. He also serves as an Honorary Professor at the Central Academy of Drama, Beijing. He has taught regularly internationally in Germany, Serbia, and Ireland. He is a Past President of OISTAT, The International Association of Scenographers, Theater Architects and Technicians, and developed the organization from a fully volunteer staff, to get funding from Taiwan, and hire an executive director and secretary, moving the organization from Prague to Taipei. While serving as Chair of the Stanford Drama Department, he battled a university movement to eliminate arts departments. He recently applied for membership to the European organization PERSPECTIVE – Association of Historic Theaters in Europe.

Twenty years on the board of Modesto’s historic State Theatre (S. Charles Lee), co-founder of Modesto Film Society. Professor of Political Science (retired) at several California community colleges (not responsible for current political dynamics). BA University of California, Santa Barbara, MA Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University. Attendee at half a dozen conclaves, Member of League of Historic American Theatres.
