This is one of many F.F. Proctor’s New Theatres drawn by Anthony F. Dumas. These drawings illustrate (pardon the pun), another often forgotten but once common aspect of American theatres- the circuit. There was a time when it was not uncommon for regional businessmen to rise to great wealth through building and aquiring movie theatres spread across cities and towns.
