An exceedingly attractive building is being erected by Allbert [sic] Fuchs at the northwest corner of Broadway and Grace street, the cost of which is placed at about $400,000. The building, which was designed by Architect August C. Wilmanns, is in the German medieval style of architecture with its characteristic gable treatment…The first floor will contain a theater with a seating capacity of 1,800, said to be the largest outside of the loop district..

The Chicago Tribune wrote about the construction of the Chateau Theatre in this magnificent Medieval styled building on August 8th, 1915
