Farewell, Drake Theater (Oil City, PA)

We had the opportunity to visit the former Drake Theater in Oil City, PA, which has been closed for many years. The building has been sold to a local company, and while the facade and front of the theatre will be preserved, unfortunately the auditorium area will be demolished.  The following is simply a gallery of the theatre then, and now.

From our visit on January 31, 2018 – we realize some of the photos are dark, but wanted to offer our readers some of the design elements inside the theatre.  Efforts are being made to save as much of the interior as possible.
